suddenly i flashed back the engagement thingy..
i asked what's so difficult to discuss with Mama? what is it?
then he said his gf's father asked him to get engaged with his gf kox he has been with her for years and it's not nice to have no strings attached..
my brother mentioned that he still needs to continue his studies and serve his NS..
the father said he doesnt mind if my brother and his gf to tie the knot for 6 years!

but my advice is, serve his NS first, continue his study, work and save money..
