had Developmental psychology today with Ms Agnes, yes, Ms Agnes who used to teach us and she brought forward the topic of IUV where couples who have difficulties to reproduce can have artificial pregnancy (taking out of the sperm and egg out in a lab and put it in the mum's womb back)... ok the issue here is that recently in the newspaper, a Chinese couple actually managed to reproduce a baby BUT THE BABY WASNT FROM THE HUSBAND'S SPERM after they observed that their baby's features kind of like Caucasians babies!! there was a mix up of the sperm and it was actually belongs to a Caucasian husband.. the couple did a DNA test and really it is not from the woman's husband... who doesnt like Caucasian babies?? but the issue here, u as a wife, didnt carry your husband's sperm but someone elses.. how does the husband feel??? maybe the problem wont surface now but later on in life, what about the social stigma? what about ppl's tongues will wag? what about the cultural and language differences? will the husband treat the baby as his own? will they argue about every little thing to divert their own tantrums? now the investigation is still on because it will take time to ask the surgeons, nurses and so on... and worse the hospital is so well known... "Thomson Medical Hospital"... have your trust been shaken now???
